Tier 1:
Zion is alone in Tier 1. He is a generational talent. I think he is the best prospect we’ve seen since Anthony Davis.
1. Zion Williamson
Risk: 6 /10
Potential: 10 /10
Zion is so much better than the rest of this draft class that there is not much to say. He is obviously a generational talent, both when you watch him play, and when you study his stats. I will not say much about him because he has been covered heavily elsewhere.
USG | TS% | FG% at rim | %assisted at rim | FG% 2pt Jumpers
Zion Williamson | Fr | 28.4 | 0.70 | 79.2% | 44.4% | 47.1% |
Anthony Davis | Fr | 18.9 | 0.65 | 87.4% | 61.2% | 38.5% |
Blake Griffin | Fr | 27.9 | 0.59 |
Zion’s TS% at this usage level is amazing. He created much of his own offense.

Zion Williamson | Fr | 71 | 33.8% | 79.2% | 46.7% | 0.64 | 0.15 | 133.6 | 0.13 |
Anthony Davis | Fr | 20 | 15.0% | 100.0% | 60.2% | 0.71 | 0.08 | 138.8 | 0.09 |
Blake Griffin | Fr | 0.00 | 0.16 | 113.7 | 0.16 |
The biggest red flag for Zion is his shooting. His form is not great, but obviously he has tons of room to improve.
Zion’s passing is the most underrated part of his game. The combination of shot creation, finishing, passing is deadly. Lebron is the best comparison here.
ORB% | DRB% | TRB% | STL% | BLK% | DRtg
Zion Williamson | Fr | 12.7 | 18.2 | 15.6 | 3.9% | 5.8% | 86.4 |
Anthony Davis | Fr | 11.3 | 24.2 | 18.2 | 2.5% | 13.8% | 79.3 |
Blake Griffin | Fr | 13.5 | 24.6 | 19.1 | 2.2% | 3.1% | 92.5 |
On defense, Zion has superb steal rate and block rates. He is a great offensive rebounder and very solid on defensive rebounds as well. Again, a good comparison is Lebron.
If Zion is able to improve his shooting, he has a chance to be an MVP in the future.
